For the third quarter in a row, HP has bested Dell in global PC sales.
It is said that HP shipped 13.1 million PCs in the third quarter, up 32.7% from the same time in the previous year. Dell continued to lag behind on the global front. HP’s market share is up to 19.2% and this is the fifth quarter in a row that HP has come out ahead of struggling rival Dell in the global PC sales tally.
In addition to winning the global PC sales race, HP also is at the head of the pack for server sales. They did well in both the high-end and low-end server departments. HP has a market share of 29% and saw year-on-year growth of 20%. Dell, once again, took second place.
