A proposal in Ohio would require employers to provide seven paid sick days to their employees. This would apply to employers with a minimum of 25 employees who work at least 30 hours a week. The bill is expected to affect 2.2 million Ohioans.
The petition currently has twice the number of required signatures. However, the Governor is against the measure. He feels it will reduce jobs.
